Also MTV has an interview with the director Joseph Kosinski in which he discusses the 3D tech and has this to say about it's rating:

"While making the movie, we never did anything to serve a particular rating. We made the movie we wanted to make. I think Disney would be really happy with a PG rating. But I haven't had it reviewed by anyone. I imagine it will be PG or PG-13."
I'll still cover it even if it is PG. Check out the full interview here.

Tim Burton directing Maleficent?

aintitcoolnews has heard a rumor about Tim Burton directing another remake of a Disney classic after Alice in Wonderland. It will tell the story of Sleeping Beauty, however focusing on the evil fairy (or witch or whatever she is), and will be called Maleficent. /Film reports that Disney registered the domain name maleficentmovie.com last year. I like the story of Sleeping Beauty and would be excited for a live action version. We'll see how well Tim Burton does with Alice in Wonderland before getting hopes up.

Pirates 4 to begin filming in Hawaii

comingsoon reports that Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger tides will begin filming in Hawaii this summer. They should spend about 85 million which will help Hawaii's struggling economy and create many new jobs. The Governor stated "Disney's long-term commitment to Hawai'i - from ABC's 'LOST' to the new Disney resort on O'ahu scheduled to open in 2011, and now the upcoming filming of 'Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides' - is a testament to the company's confidence in our state as a great place to do business". (The picture is a still from Pirates 2 and is not in Hawaii)

Jerry Bruckheimer discusses how Jon Turteltaub and Nicolas Cage are re-teaming after their work together on the National Treasure movies. He says "It's got the same kind of tone, because Jon has a wonderful comedic touch, It's got romance in it, and it's got a lot of adventure. It's very similar to National Treasure in tone." I loved the National Treasure movie, especially the first, so this id definitely good news!

New Alice in Wonderland images

/Film has several recent images from Alice in Wonderland that reveal several of the characters up close. I have mixed feelings about this movie. I am not a fan of most of Tim Burton's films however this looks like it will be one of his best. At first I thought it looked very strange and creepy however the most recent trailer actually has gotten me kind of excited for it. All the images have been added to the bottom of the gallery here, so go have a look at them yourself.

New Prince of Persia featurette

The official Prince of Persia facebook page released a behind the scenes video today discussing the dagger which can turn back time. I have never played the video game and don't know much about the story, but it definitely looks like it could have potential. Time machine stories are always confusing to me because generally they don't make complete sense, however from what I've seen this looks like he can only go back seconds instead of years which would be more understandable. You can head over to the videos page to watch it!
